Applying for a Year 3 place for September 2022
Before making an application please read the school's Admission Arrangement for Academic Year 2022-2023
For a child to transfer to Year 3 in September 2022, the parent must complete the Common Application Form (CAF) available from the home local authority (the authority in whose area the child concerned lives). For the application to be considered as ‘on time’ the CAF must be submitted to the home local authority by 23:59 hours on 15 January 2022. The CAF may be completed and submitted using the home local authority’s ‘on line’ procedure, or as a paper form
Families living in B&NES should visit the B&NES School Admissions Website for details on how to make an application. Applications must be made by midnight on 15 January 2022 to join the school in September 2022.
Local authorities must coordinate new Year 3 applications until 31 August of the relevant year. If an application form is submitted to the home local authority after the January application deadline it will be considered as a ‘late’ application and will not be administered until all on time applications have been processed.
In addition to submitting the CAF you may wish to complete a Supplementary Information Form. This form must be completed if you wish to provide supplementary information in order to confirm that a child satisfies Criterion 1, 5, or 7 of the oversubscription criteria applying for Widcombe C of E Junior School. This supplementary form should be delivered directly to the school office.
In-Year Admission Arrangements
Please use the school's in-year application form to apply for a place for a child wishing to join the school at any time outside the main Year 3 application process.
