Breakfast Club, After-School and Holiday Care

We offer a range of Extended Services, this means that we signpost, or have arranged provision of childcare at the beginning and end of the school day, as well as providing an extensive range of after-school clubs, and making use of our school building as a venue for the local community.

Following is some information about organisations that provide out of hours care provision on our school site or locally.

 

Widcombe Infants School Breakfast Club

A breakfast club is available at Widcombe Infants. It runs from 7.30 until the start of the school day, children can arrive at any time during the session. Junior children are accompanied across the road by staff. Each session costs £5.50.

Ta-dah! Arts and Crafts Holiday and INSET Day Club at Widcombe Junior School

TA-dah is a brand-new holiday club for Widcombe Junior School children focussing on art and crafts, brought to you by Mrs Appleyard and Mrs Davies (putting the TA in TA-dah!)

The club will run at the Junior school on Monday 12th February from 9am till 3.30pm at a cost of £40.

The club will also run on our next INSET Day, Monday 11th March from 8.45am till 3.30pm at the same price.

There is also the option of adding on after-hours care on both days until 4.30 for an extra £7. 

The children will bring home a bag of home-made crafts at the end of the day.

Sparks Sports and Coaching

Sparks Sports and Coaching deliver our sports after-school clubs. Clubs are booked and paid for using their website. After-school clubs finish at 4.30pm and Sparks offer an extended childcare service from 4.30 to 5.30pm, a drink and snack are included in this service. Mulberry After-School Club

This club runs from 3.15 to 5.45pm at Widcombe Infants School. Children will be picked up from the Juniors. A range of activities are offered and children will be encouraged to complete their homework. Each session costs £12.50 and a snack tea will be provided.

Swainswick Explorers

Swainswick Explorers has a special relationship with Widcombe Juniors and will often organise Explorer Days around Widcombe on to coincide with our INSET days.  Drop off and pick up is outside the school.

Look on their website for existing Explorer Days, you can also ask them to put on an event for you in Widcombe. www.swainswickexplorers.co.uk

They also offer Explorer Days, Playground Hopping and Biking Days in the school holidays that start and finish on the north side of Bath.
