Parent Governor Election Nominations Open

Nominations are now being invited for the position of Parent Governor on our school’s Governing Body

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have experience in any of the following areas: education, communications/consultation, funding. However, the most important qualifications are enthusiasm, energy and a commitment to the role. The school has high expectations of the time and commitment required of its governors to effectively fulfil their roles.

Parent governors play an important role as members of the governing body, which is responsible for ensuring all pupils within the school have access to a high-quality education provision in-line with the shared vision of the Palladian Academy Trust. Due to a parent governor reaching the end of their four-year term of office, we have a vacancy for a new parent governor to join the governing body in February 2020.

Training is available for all governors and those new to governance are encouraged to attend induction training. All our governors are expected to follow the Palladian Academy Trust Code of Conduct and agree to a DBS application being made.

If you would like to stand for election, please complete a nomination form (available to download from the Governance page on the school website or from the school office), to be returned to the school, FAO the Clerk to Governors, no later than noon on Friday 14 February 2020. Anyone standing for election must certify that they are not disqualified to stand for any reason.
