Welcome to Widcombe CofE Junior School
I am genuinely proud to be headteacher of the thriving, happy, learning community that is Widcombe Church of England Junior School. From the first time that you walk through our doors, you will feel our positive ethos, see smiling children (and staff) and witness children engaged in their learning.
Widcombe Church of England Junior School has a real commitment to developing each child as an individual. We provide a creative, engaging and balanced curriculum, full of opportunities, and encourage all our children to make the most of their personalities, talents and abilities. We are a school that promotes a love of learning and zest for life.
Our school has a great variety of strengths which include a strong Arts tradition, high standards of behaviour, a real enthusiasm for celebrating personalities, skills and interests and a firm commitment to providing a high quality learning experience. Our children achieve academic success but, even more importantly, they leave us confident, resilient and ready for the challenges ahead of them.
We are proud of our Church School status, and this feeds in closely to our School Vision and Values.
We aim to ensure a positive and productive partnership which draws on the strengths of individuals and the community. We know that with a balance of commitment, hard work, good communication, careful planning and a sense of fun we can offer all children a positive learning experience and environment.
'Be the best you can be!'
